Individuals consuming more than 2,000 IU/day of vitamin D (from diet and supplements) should periodically obtain a serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D measurement. Do not exceed 10,000 IU per day unless recommended by your doctor. Vitamin D supplementation is not recommended for individuals with high blood calcium levels. If you have a thyroid condition or are taking antithyroid medications, do not use without consulting your healthcare practitioner. If you are taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, or have a bleeding disorder, consult with your healthcare provider before taking this product.

For me, after one week taking this I started to feel slighted pain in my kidney, then i did stop for one week , the pain was gone , then I started again the pain came back ! I have no problems with my kidneys !

I’ve been taking this version of VitD off and on for years – I keep trying others and always come back to this one. I take medications with (mild) blood-thinning side effects and having the extra VitK helps reduce the easier bruising and taking longer to clot that I experience. (Yes, my doctor knows and approves.) I do agree with the other reviewer that the bottles are way too big for how much space the pills take up – I get the two-pack and immediately combine the bottles, and I’m still only filling maybe a third of the space. I imagine it’s just this brand’s standard bottle and they don’t want to have a separate bottle size and accompanying equipment on their production line for a different size. Kind of wish they would though.
I was surprised that they’d changed the appearance of the bottles from the classic white to the new blue, but as far as I can tell the product hasn’t changed. The bottles I got did list the VitD content in mcg rather than IU, but I confirmed that it is the same amount (5000 IU = 125 mcg), just labeled differently for some reason.

I am very happy with the Life Extension Vitamin D & K I purchased, in fact I have reordered it 3 times. I give it 5 stars,. This time I ordered 6 bottles, enough for my husband and I to take 1 a day for 6 months. The packaging gets ONE STAR. Six bottles came with sixty small capsules in each (large) bottle. Sixty capsules barely covered the bottom of the bottle! I spent 20 minutes opening the bottles, and pulling out cotton, When I was done, I had 360 capsules, ALL in 1 bottle, and a pile of plastic, cotton, 5 bottles and a large box with bubble wrap on my counter, to go to the landfill. How is that for a waste of money? Why not package 60 capsules in Small bottles? 6 small bottles could have been sent in a padded envelope. Shame on you Life Extension.
