- Free Form
L-Lysine is an essential free-form amino acid which acts as a precursor for other amino acids, including L-carnitine (needed for fat metabolism). L-Lysine is crucial for the formation of collagen, a major part of the body’s connective tissues. L-Lysine also contributes to energy production when converted to acetyl coenzyme A, one of the principal fuels for the Krebs Cycle.

Never know if these work or not. Pills are very large. Don’t think I’ll reorder.

Source Naturals has always been my “go to” brand for lysine. Many years ago I developed cold sores and a pharmacist told me to take lysine to help get rid of them. It’s been the most economical remedy. I’ve tried other brands and SN has always been the best because they are easier to swallow than some other brands. The pills are huge horse pills – as I refer to them and the smooth coating on the outside makes them easier to swallow than some other brands. These are also the most effective. I’ve found they work the best. I highly recommend Source Naturals brand.

I tried another cheaper brand for awhile. The other brands did nothing but waste my money. I returned to this brand and I am happy with this product.
