Calcium provides the building blocks that help keep bones and teeth strong and healthy. It also supports the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and involved with heartbeat regulation. Magnesium help to regulate calcium transport and stimulates the secretion of calcitonin, a hormone that aids in the influx of calcium into bone. It plays an important role in protein formation and healthy muscle function. This formulation contains the highly absorbable citrate form of calcium.
Adequate calcium throughout life, as part of a well-balanced diet, may reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

My husband and I were taking a magnesium oxide supplement. My husband has suffered from excruciating leg cramps for years. The magneium oxide helped only a little. Since taking the Solgar mag citrate the problem is gone. We were a little hesitant about the possible GI side effects (loose or frequent stools) but he has had no issues and takes 200 mg twice a day. I started taking them, and my irregular heart beats are about 99% gone (used to have them every day and now maybe once a week). So glad we switched to this product.

Love this magnesium citrate! It is very well absorbed and easy to use as you only have to take 1 tablet in AM and 1 tablet in PM and you’ve me the USRDA (US Recommended Daily Allowance) (USRDA for magnesium is 400mg)(each tablet is 200mg). This product is also very cost effective. It is around $14 and that is for a two month supply, so it costs basically $7 per month to protect against anxiety, depression, restless leg syndrome, eczema, psoriasis and headaches/migraines, allergies, fibromyalgia pain, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, and heart disease.
I would (and I do) recommend this magnesium to anyone. (note: magnesium is a natural blood pressure lowerer as well, so those with really low blood pressure need to watch their blood pressure when starting this, aka take a smaller amount of this when starting, like 1/2 tablet (which is 100mg) per day, and then very slowly work up to the 2 tablets per day over the course of a few weeks.
I have naturally low blood pressure and I did not know this (to start at a lower dose when first starting) when I first started taking this and so it made me blood pressure very low which made me very low energy, but it went away in about 2 weeks when my body got used to it. But I really didn’t care since the magnesium immediately got rid of my restless leg syndrome and it helped me to sleep much better and it immediately greatly lessened my fibromyalgia pain. I was in heaven when I first started taking it because my high level of constant pain went away drastically.
Note: if you have fibromyalgia, it might be due to a genetic mutation on one of your sulfur metabolism genes like the SUOX (Sulfur Oxidase gene) or the CBS 699 gene(Cystathione Beta Synthase 699).
( see Dr. Jockers web page for CBS699 diet/ you have to avoid all foods high in sulfur and phosphorus.)
(I have 2 homozygous (inherited from both parents) CBS mutations and 2 homozygous SUOX mutations, so I have to avoid foods high in sulfur and phosphorus like the plague, or otherwise be consigned to bad muscle and joint pain and migraines.)
At any rate, this magnesium works great. It is cost effective and easy “adherence”/ aka easy to take/ easy to adhere to the schedule of taking it.
Magnesium is the cornerstone nutrient to take above all other nutrients and most people are deficient in magnesium, and so I would recommend this product to anyone. Magnesium has saved my life and continues to save my life every single day!
For more info on magnesium, read “The Magnesium Miracle” by Dr. Carolyn Dean, or watch her and many other doctors on youtube talk about all the great health benefits of daily supplementation with magnesium.

I purchased a bottle of Solgar Magnesium Citrate after watching a video by a Dr that said it is good for those that are on the Keto diet and experiencing leg cramps..I periodically get leg cramps evenbefore doing Keto…but I have not had them since starting Keto. However, he mentioned that it is good for constipation and may be best to take it at night because it can make you drowsy. I have mild insomnia as well as sleep apnea and I refuse to use a CPAP machine. I started taking the magnesium citrate…and my bathroom issues are solved. I have not experienced diarrhea as some have noted. Maybe because I had constipation. I’m also sleeping better and feeling more rested in the morning. I’m dreaming again and that’s how I know I’m getting g restful sleep where before I never had dreams or remembered them. I know that’s sounds strange but when you dream you are getting that REM sleep….the restful sleep your body needs. I’m also sleeping longer with no signs of insomnia. When we have a symptom it is our body trying to tell us that something is wrong. Instead of treating the underlying cause we just treat the symptom…that’s why we keep having symptoms over and over. Be your own advicate for your health. Ask your Dr questions instead of just taking a prescription that may not even help your symptoms. Solgar is a great quality supplement. I won’t buy anything else. Hope this helps someone.

Been using this for years. Most of the population is deficient in magnesium. It’s great for back pain, joint pain, migraines, sleep, anxiety, constimpation, nervous system, facial ticks, repair after workouts and more. The whole family uses it daily before bed.

I have suffered with IBS/SIBO for 10 years and was just figuring out how to manage it successfully when I became pregnant. I do not want to drink coffee during my pregnancy (which was the only thing keeping me regular previously) so I started taking these supplements. I take 1 in AM and 1 PM. It has SAVED me! I have dealt with chronic constipation for so long, especially in the absence of coffee. These totally helped and ensure a BM every morning. It took a few weeks for my body to get used to them. For the first couple of weeks, my BM’s were loose and “not normal” and I was afraid that it would cause problems in the long run, chronic diarrhea didn’t seem any better than chronic constipation. But now things have evened out and I have regular/consistent BM’s and I am convinced it is because of this product as I haven’t changed anything else. This is a lot of personal info but if I can help one fellow pregnant woman, especially those who struggle with chronic GI issues, I am happy to share!
