My first time purchasing Flaxseed oil. It was suggested to me to take a tablespoon at night to reduce warm flushes while sleeping. I can’t say that it’s doing that, but the taste is smooth. Flaxseed oil has other benefits that I will continue taking. I also like that it’s in a dark glass bottle. I will buy again.

After reading reviews on several brands, I was worried about receiving rancid oil. So glad I found this one with its reviews. It arrived well packaged, not a drop leaked. And the oil tasted fine without a hint of it going bad. I use it mainly to season and reseason my cast iron; but I’ve also used it as a base for mixing essential oils for massage. Nice product. Thanks!

I tried two other brands of flax seed oil and both were rancid, which you can notice if the oil tastes bitter in any way. Flax seed oil should taste subtly nutty and not unpleasant. This oil tastes great, even when coming from the mail! The seal was very intricate and smelled incredibly chemically, can’t be good to breathe that in. But I’ll take that over rancid oil any day. Thank you for the great quality!

Just eating this every day decreased my LDL (bad cholesterol) and increased my HDL (good cholesterol).
I got my HDL up to 75 and my LDL down to 125. All I did was eat flax seed oil every day for about 6 months, and I also ate a lot of kale whenever I eat something with a lot of heavy fats in it. I think the kale fiber helps to absorb a lot of the bad fats. I chop some kale, let it sit in some vinegar, and eat it as a salad or mixed into whatever it is I’m eating. If it’s a sandwich (think: heavy burger), I put the vinegar’d kale on the sandwich and then eat some on the side. It’s not a bad trade off. I also think the acidic vinegar does something positive, but not sure.
I mix this oil with unflavored whey protein and milk. I sometimes add potassium salt and magnesium salt because I tend to be low on electrolytes. Grrr. It’s actually a good breakfast to start your day. The good fat and huge amount of protein in the morning works very well for me. Carb-heavy breakfasts are terrible for me. Sidenote, I also sometimes put it in my coffee which is probably weird but I find it to be a pretty good way of eating the oil. Not my fave, but it works as an alternative to whey protein + milk combo.
And I store the bottles in the fridge as soon as they arrive. I wash the bottles off, then straight to the fridge until they are used up.

I had real bad experience with flax oil I previously bought on Amazon. That product was also organic and from a good brand but taste was bitter and I had hard time finishing it.
(I always keep flax oil refridgerated to make it last long and keep the quality)
I read good reviews about Solgar Earth Source and decided to give it a try.
Now I am happy that I bought it.
It has very smooth taste and every bit of the flavor of flax seeds without the hassles.
There is not even a touch of bitterness. It is an excellent product.
As long as they maintain this quality, I will keep buying this product.
It is a bit more pricey compared to many similar products listed on Amazon but for me its quality is worth paying a bit extra.

I have suffered from mild rosacea for years and tried to resolve it with diet and other suggested lifestyle changes. I read about the potential added benefits of including liquid flaxseed oil into a diet for inflammation challenges. I bought it expecting little impact and was pleasantly surprised. I now add it daily to my smoothie. I am thrilled with the positive outcome.

I looked at the reviews for a lot of the flax oil products and they seemed to be all over the place, so I bit the bullet and ordered 4 of the better ranking products so I could compare them side by side. I bought NOW Cold-Pressed and Unrefined Certified Organic Flax Seed Oil Liquid, Nature’s Way Flax Oil USDA Organic, Puritan’s Pride Cold-Pressed Organic Flaxseed Oil, and Solgar Earth Source Organic Flaxseed Oil. They were all well before the expiration dates. Here is what I found: The NOW Flax Seed Oils was downright nasty. It was bitter and rancid tasting and was a huge disappointment. The Nature’s Way Flax Oil wasn’t much better. It was too much of a hassle to return them, so I tossed them both in the trash. The Puritan’s Pride Flaxseed Oil was better, but was still somewhat bitter. The Solgar Earth Source Organic Flaxseed Oil was the cream of the crop. It had a mild taste and was head and shoulders better than the rest. I hope this helps everyone who is looking for flaxseed oil.

My mom has leg cramps at night that wake her up and is painful. She has tried so many ways to help her but none of them give her significant relief. I was traveling abroad recently and spoke to a pharmacist that also recommends natural remedies. I told her mom has tried drinking tonic for the quinine and currently drinks high PH water with electrolytes and that helps a little bit not enough. There have been many other attempts that include prescriptions and other natural ways but no luck.
She said when I get back to the states find flaxseed oil that includes a high concentration of omega 3-6-9, take once a day at lunch time. Should notice a difference in 5 days.
What a difference! Her leg cramps are totally gone as long as she takes it every day. This purchase was well worth every penny and more. There are a lot of other brands out there but the key was to have a high #3 in relation to the 6 and 9. I found this to have the best numbers. It worked and we are recommending it to others that have the same problem!

I am now on my 2nd bottle ( accidentally dropped the 1st one and it shattered on the kitchen title- I quickly had to replace because we love it so much!). My young girls are picky eaters and I want them to be healthy. I use this flax oil (amazing OMEGA 3’s) in their fruit smoothies, on our home made pizza, and as part of our salad dressing (this oil plus either a favored vinegar). My picky eaters love the taste and ask for more (believe me, I’ve tried lots of flax oil and non have been a winner in our house). Thank you for making this!!

I read that 2 Tbsp. cottage cheese and a Tbsp. of flaxseed oil is a good fighter against breast cancer. So far, so good. I am dealing with my third round of it, but the drs are amazed that it has not spread or grown. Everything I’m doing is holistic. This seems to be a good product in my fight.

Most flax oils have heavy n thick, such as Barleans…
it has a lots of the lignan, giving it a very earthy flavor….
often it can ruin the taste of the dish…
read up on the benefits of lignans….
however, not everything in life has to be perfect…
this oil taste like real oil, not health oil, so most people will use it way more often
as it does not ruin the flavor a dish…
OTOH, if its all about every ounce of benefit, maybe the darker flax oils is more suited for you.
this my first try at the relatively clear oil, and I really like the flavor, will use it way more often due to pleasant oil taste most of expect…
price vs. quality, excellent…
love the glass bottle… will be reordering this brand for sure…

I recently purchased a (Lodge) cast iron deep chicken fryer through Amazon and though what the company (Lodge) does in the way of pre-seasonong is much appreciated I feel that it’s truly worth the time and few extra dollars to work with the cookware with seasoning. Aside from constant use and proper care, flaxseed oil can’t be beat. I’ve had this piece for only a short while and used it numerous times and the results that Solgar flaxseed oil has delivered in regards to seasoning has been phenomenal. Thank you.

I received some cast iron pans for Christmas and needed to season them properly. Knowing that the best oil to season with is Flaxseed Oil, I went looking and found this lovely organic oil. It works like a charm! Nice consistency, pleasant scent, spreads with a paper towel evenly on my pans, and leaves a lovely coating on my pans once baked at 450 for an hour. My pans turned a beautiful shade of black! My pans are nice and slick, as though a non stick coating had been sprayed on them. (this took about 4 to 5 cycles of rub on oil then bake at 450 degrees to achieve) Absolutely love this oil!
If you are looking for a nice oil that will give your pans the look and feel of traditional cast iron, then this is the oil for you. I highly recommend it!
If you are looking for an oil that will

Been buying it for years. We have bought many brands. Most tend to be on the bitter end of the spectrum at least 70 of the time we buy them. Don’t listen when someone tells you that flax oil is “supposed to be” bitter – that’s gibberish. When you buy this oil, you will learn what great flaxseed out is really SUPPOSED TO taste like. If it’s bitter, it is rancid – this is what happens when it oxidizes, which happens when it is produced and/or stored at improper temperatures. Speaking of which, when you order this product, be sure it is shipped to you as quickly as possible, especially in the summer. And ALWAYS store it in the refrigerator – before and after you open the bottle.
