I love that Dr. Bronners makes dish soap as well. It performs as well or better than other soaps we’ve tried. We dilute it 8 parts water to 1 part soap. So a 24oz plastic container will get ~3oz of soap and the rest is water (we actually prefer it a little soapier). This will be a thin liquid, but it cleans just as well as the thicker detergents and more easily absorbs into your sponge or dish cloth.
You can also use it for general house cleaning but we haven’t yet.
The scent is amazing!!

OMG I love Bronners soaps, and was so happy to find this. You can use it for everything- EVERYTHING…google Lisa Bronner and see what she uses it for and yes, it absolutely does all that! I have a bottle of this stuff in a spray container and call it magic spray. I use it for laundry (minus LB’s addition of baking soda), counter tops, glass stove tops, sinks, most of my bathroom, make up sponges, floors, classroom table tops, spot treatment on carpets (before and after), fruit/veggie cleaning, and I spray it on my chicken and rinse it in warm water before I cook it. Stop reading this now and just buy it already, if you are disappointed then somehow you are doing it wrong!

Been buying this stuff for years. I use it to make a general surface cleaner (water + Bronners + a little rubbing alcohol + citrus concentrate) and dilute the dickens out of it for washing dishes. If you’re really bored, you can also read the label.

It’s just so easy to use — two tablespoons — and there you have the most delightfully naturally fragrant full washer suds that just give your laundry a real ‘lift’ — even in those new hybrid machines.
Great for hot, warm — or cold water — washes. Delicate sweaters were just as refreshed as everyday jeans and tshirts.
What a relief to get away from chemically perfumed laundry soap and even many steps better than even the best ‘eco’ brands available in the stores….

Dr. Bronners products are expensive. However, it already saved a dress I liked. I had (mistakenly) squished olive oil from a can of tuna all over this dress I like. Frankly, I should wear a biohazard suit when I make food because I’m a mess at it. Anyway, I sprayed store brand stain remover on the oil spots, then soaked it in an enzymatic cleaner and laundry detergent. When it dried, I was very unhappy to see the oil stains still present. I had just received the Sal Suds, so I applied it straight onto the oil stains, then put it in the washing machine. I was so HAPPY when the oil stains were ALL GONE!! In fact, it was amazing! I will keep on buying this for sure!

A little does go a long way. It works on everything I need. I don’t have to worry about it hurting my animals and it deodorizes as it cleans. But be very careful about amount amount. The directions are not kidding about recommended amounts to water. Very powerful and I love it. It will also last me a long time which is great for the bargain hunter in me and all of us.

I have very hard well water and my regular dish soap suds would fail after a few minutes. This stuff is awesome. So many suds that I can cut back on how much I add to the sink. Very impressive and smells like Christmas. Can’t wait to try it in the laundry and rest of the house cleaning

Amazing! Incredible cleaner at low concentrated so will save tons of money. Also, smells.lile real pine trees. Ingredients are not toxic *****people who say they are bad are WRONG**** THIS IS RATED “A” ON EWG! It contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate not Laureth which is totally different. It drives me nuts to see bad reviews based on nonsense because people can’t read and educate themselves. Anyway, it’s a great cleaner. I use it on floors, laundry, dishes and a few other things. For counters I use Force of nature which is an EpA registered disinfectant that is completely natural and safe. All cleaning needs covered by two products.

I love this stuff. Little goes a long way however it attacks some many cleaning issues with fiery gusto!
This will get blue berry stains out of a white shirt and car oil out of carpet. Yes these are things your family members should never do. Should rarely lines with reality.

I have always loved Dr. Bronner’s soap, but hadn’t heard of Sal Suds until the coronavirus took the world by storm and there were no cleaners left on the shelf. I like biodegradable, natural products and found Sal Suds by searching for a non-toxic alternative on line. A little goes a long way. I put a couple Tbsp in a spray bottle with water and a Tbsp of white vinegar, and I have an all-purpose cleaner that works on counters, floors, dishes, and door knobs/handles to clean (and I believe sanitize). It has such a nice woodsy scent. I am a life-long fan of the stuff.

I was looking for something with less chemicals – and wow, does this fit the bill! For light to medium laundry loads, even less than 2 tablespoons gets clothes clean – and an added bonus is that the items that go in the dryer come out with little or no static cling. I’ve also used this as a shower/tub cleaner when used with white vinegar (I use a half and half concoction and add essential oils) – not only does it remove grime with little or no elbow grease, but I notice the shower stall stays cleaner longer. Needless to say, I’ve stocked up!

It is a great multipurpose cleaner. I clean the toilet, bathroom sinks, facets, blinds, doors, trims, ceiling fans, furniture and inside of car seats to remove dirty spots. It is a great product to use around the house. It gets all the dirt and grime off. It doesn’t do well with urine smell, but it does a great job cleaning the toilet.

We have been using Dr. Bronner’s soaps since my daughters were little. They are 30 and 37 years old now, and both also use Dr. Bronner’s products. They are great for sensitive skin, and we use the Sal Suds soap For both laundry and hand washing dishes. I also use one pump of it in the dishwasher with the dry soap. It helps to cut the grease on dishes. Highly recommend their products.

It is a fantastic product but after making my own dish soap, I found out that I am allergic to one of the components. My hands broke in to a rash and itching. Other than that, it is a great product, cleans the dishes and leaves them shiny. It removes the grease from the dishes very well
Since I am allergic to it, I might only use it in the dishwasher from now on

This is an amazing soap! I use it mainly in my kitchen & bath and I’m really happy with how well it cleans. It even easily cleaned the built up grease of the metal ledge above our microwave/vent. I’m not keen on the scent, as I prefer more fruity, but it’s not off putting and is much milder scent than pine sol

This arrived super fast with out defect or damage. I have lost count of how many years over all I have been using this product. Lets just say a very long time. I cant say enough good things about it. It over all,…. is a great value for the money and if you like a faint pine smell you will love this. It is very easy to use and can be used for many different purposes. I highly suggest you give this one a go if you never have.

Great product!!!
I own a small, Eco friendly maid service and I use this product for the majority of the work I do.
It a very mild scent which is only noticeable i bc the bottle. I add essential oils when I dilute it with water.
I use it diluted down for almost every type of surface I clean-sealed wood, plastic and other synthetic surfaces, glass, and even natural stone and marble. It’s the only product I use use on a retailer basis for maintenance of Stone showers. It’s not acidic at all, and is gentle on natural stone.
I will continue to repurchase this until the company decides to discontinue it. I hope that never happens.

Un real what this stuff does! Takes out the toughest stains and the dirtiest dirt .
I have not even explored the endless possibilities this product has .I do love the smell of pine that it has but do not want that smell for everything.
Regardless this product is a total game changer .
unreal !
A definite YES !!!!!!!!!

I work for a company that requires employees to wear expensive knit tops they provide. You are given three each season, expecting them to be clean and spot free. I spilled grease on one that was lavender and almost threw it away but tried some of this prespotting it before putting it in the laundry. The spots were completely removed and I still wear it to this day. This is the most versatile product I’ve ever used!

Great soap for a variety of house hold cleaning tasks. I keep a spray bottle handy with sals suds mixed with household vinegar and a few drops of essential oils. Makes a great spray cleaner for kitchen counters, Tile floors etc…. without harsh hazardous chemicals!

I have very sensitive skin. Then looking for a dish soap that won’t make my hands itch eventually. Did a lot of hand-washing of dishes washing the floor washing counters one day normally after this my hands will be itching feel very dry. I was pleasantly surprised. I think I found my new dish soap! I also tried it diluted. Again I was surprised and how well it worked. Suddes up well hopefully it will help the soap to last letter

Seriously LOVE this product! I had a stain that had already been washed and set in a sweater I just bought. I put a small amount of this product over the stain and let it sit for 24 hours. I washed it and it ALL came out. SO SO happy!

I am only reviewing the scent, because I was initially deterred from buying this product by reading that it has a scent similar to pine-sol, which I really dislike. I’m glad I took the risk. It’s nothing like pine-sol. It’s like fir needle essential oil, or like a fresh-cut christmas tree. I don’t know yet how well it works – I’ll add that review later. But if you hate the scent of Pine-sol, don’t hesitate to try Sal Suds. It has a much softer, fresher, more natural scent.

Before cleaning it wasn’t safe to use the back door after after rain or frost. NOTE THIS PRODUCT WILL solidify around 55° ( I wasn’t looking at the thermometer but guessing around there) which is why I couldn’t finish but extremely satisfied with results. Worked better than bleach for algae moss funk north side of house.

First time Sal Suds user and newly converted Dr. Bronner’s fan. Sal Suds is as great as everyone says it is. Just one drop in a spray bottle and you’ve got a clean home. I wouldn’t use Sal Suds as a laundry detergent, however, as that becomes extremely expensive if you break down the cost per load. But, I found that using Sal Suds as a clothing stain pre-treater is amazingly effective. It’s the most effective thing I’ve ever tried in getting months-old stains out of clothing. Just use it directly on the stain without diluting with water and let it sit for a few hours.

My local stores have, for some unknown reason, stopped carrying this product; Amazon to the rescue. I learned about this product on a natural cleaning blog when searching a way to cut the hard water stains on my glass shower doors. I think I had tried everything in the stores, a few products from Amazon, and several homemade cleaners I found found on cleaning blogs. This stuff is nothing short of a miracle. It does not have an overpowering scent and does not make my lungs burn or trigger an asthma attack or burn my skin like so many commercial cleaners. Hard water and soap scum? Mix a bit of diluted Sal’s, add some vinegar if you want to be sure of streak-free (as in the case of the mentioned shower doors), spray, let sit 5 minutes, and everything just wipes away with virtually no scrubbing! I have since learned this can be used in laundry, dishes, general purpose cleaning of any sort in the home. I hope they never stop making this stuff.

I’ve been using Dr Bonner’s Sal Suds for many years. Being a multiple cat house, I try not to use anything but biodegradable products. Read somewhere that by the time we leave the house in the morning, we have already been exposed to over 168 chemicals. The litter pans are always washed in Sal Suds…then emptying the pans into the toilet…live in the sticks and have a septic tank along with horribly hard water that leaves a lot of rust stains. Do the floors and walls and anything else that needs to be wiped down not feeling guilty about using unnecessary perfumes or chemicals. Great stuff. Highly recommend. Also use very little. Concentrated. Lasts a very long time.

Love that it’s unscented because I sneeze just walking down the laundry isle at the grocery store. Couldn’t wait to use it “straight up”, so did a full load using 2 Tbsp. and everything came out clean and unscented. Tried a recipe I found on a blog also: Washing Soda 2/3 C., Sal’s Suds 1/2 C., 4 C. boiling water. Used 1/4 C. per load with great results. I always use white vinegar in the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener. Yeah, finally something w/o chemical additives to use on my sensitive skin.

I had part of a bottle which I had purchased years ago, and for some reason never used it much. I have a severe problem in the winter with my hands getting raw from washing dishes (can’t stand rubber gloves). I tried everything I could find to use on my dishes, but my hands were still raw, itching and burning. Then I happened to remember my Sal Suds and thought, “I’ll give it a try.” Well, I have never looked back. It cleans my dishes well, and it DOES NOT bother my hands! Even in severely cold weather. I keep it on my kitchen sink, so I have not tried it with much else, but after reading some of the reviews, I am going to give it a try. It is wonderful!

Love this product. I use it as laundry detergent as well as diluted with water in a spray bottle for an all purpose cleaner. It has a faint odor, not really unpleasant but if it bothers you, you could add a few drops of lemon essential oil! I will say, I found this locally in store for $5 less than I paid on Amazon which was disappointing.

I clean everything with this stuff! The possibilities are endless! Just a few drops in a spray bottle n BAM clean the whole house! I clean my bathroom, counters, glass, stove, stainless steel appliances, I clean everything with one product! Can’t beat it!
