To be blunt, I can’t tolerate any flavor Quest Nutrition Protein Bar but this one! Double Chocolate Chunk. The other flavors taste like a mouth full of chemicals to me. You don’t eat it and go, “OMG, this is the most delicious thing in the world.” But it’s “fine.”
So why the 5 stars? It has 20 grams of protein and is actually FILLING and holds you! Most protein bars I’ve tasted have less protein or I want another one as soon as I eat the first! At 180 calories, that’s a bargain.
This is the only protein bar that actually makes me feel like I’ve eaten something. It’s a “heavy” feeling — in a good way! And it holds me.

I know these bars well. I’ve been eating them for two years, because they’re great. That’s how I know that this most recent package suffered a major assault at some point in its youth. The box arrived … round? Oval? Every corner was crushed and the internal, branded cardboard had that furry quality cardboard gets once its been exposed to very high humidity for a while. The bars themselves are each as flattened as their wrappers allowed and during the recongealing process folds of each wrapper got pinched in the hardening chocolate, making for a frustrating and less than appetizing presentation. This is a first-time, and hopefully one-time, occurrence but wanted to say something here in case others have a similar experience.

Who invented these!!
I don’t know if I want to kiss you or hurt you ( ??)
I’m diabetic and doing my best to stay low carb. These bars help me stay under 30 carbs a day. IF I only eat one ;))
There’s something about the crunchy chocolate in these that’s totally addicting !!
They aren’t very sweet ( my favorite ) but the solid chips just add something wonderful ♥️?
I almost wish I had never tried these !
Amazon has the best prices with sub and save so I order several boxes every month.
They also run coupons every few months.
Watch the prices because they fluctuate.
yum yum YUM …. ♥️???

I love Quest Bars! Their flavors are exactly what they labeled as. They aren’t sweet, and super convenient method of increasing your daily fibers for the day. I highly recommend this if you are looking to curve your sweets as well as controlling your appetite for any junk foods.

PhD researcher Dom D’Agostino recommended this Quest bar for keto diet enthusiasts on YouTube. Its 14 grams of fiber & 20 grams of protein with a yummy chocolate flavor. I can only eat half a bar at a meal. It will fill you up. It’s 10 grams of carb & the best keto bar on the market. It does have a small amount of stevia & 6 grams of erythritol, a new non-caloriic sweetner which you can check out at Healthline.com. Other flavors are available. Give it a try.

Quest bars are *not* created equal. But Quest Double Chocolate Chunk Protein Bar gets our preferential vote. The ingredients and nutritional information stand out significantly in comparison with their other bars. Here are our 4 very specific reasons for preferentially purchasing this particular flavor: (1). This particular bar does not list sweeteners that cause metabolic or health problems. Its principle sweeteners are erythritol and steviosides (and both are substances that exist in nature, and which have been shown not to have negative effects on the body). Most of their other products contain sucralose (which is usually sold under the trade name “Splenda,” and clinical studies show that sucralose alters the normal microbiome, and interferes with some metabolic functions. The only other Quest bars that do not list problematic ingredients as of 5/2020 are the “Cinnamon Role” and “Chocolate Hazelnut,” which happen to also be good choices, through their nuts sometimes taste a bit stale. (2). Each bar provides only 1 gram of sugar, which is about 1/4 of a teaspoon of simple sugar. We like to keep our simple sugars down in our diet, so this low simple sugar content is a plus for us. (3). The total fat content of each bar is 7 grams. Their other bars contain more unnecessary fat. Their Cinnamon Role bar only has 6 grams fat per bar, which is better, while their Hazelnut Chocolate has 8 grams fat currently. We would have rated the Double Chocolate Chunk bar 5 stars if the fat count were lower, and if the bar were to be constituted of organic ingredients, and if the cocoa were to *not* be alkalinized (Duched). After all, the alkalinization process destroys the antioxidants in the chocolate, thus removing its nutritional value. (4). Each Double Chocolate Chunk bar delivers 20 grams of protein, and we love that! Look, all these bars are highly processed, and are generally *unhealthy* to begin. But when we have a choice between a junky candy bar (with 20-50 grams simple sugars and15-30 grams fat) and this one (with 20 grams protein and 1 gram simple sugars, and 7 grams fat), we always go for the latter. It is simply the lesser of a world of evils.

If you are not familiar with QuestBars, they are one of the goo-based protein bars as opposed to the chalky filling or chocolate coated ones.
This is one of the better flavors, a richer chocolatey brownie batter type base bar with chocolate chunks in it. No aftertaste, and no digestive issues (some people may be sensitive to the fiber content). 9/10.
