If you take the recommended amount, effects are visible and quick. I recommend adding to your daily supplements list.

This inexpensive highly absorbent potassium supplement works very quickly to help low potassium symptoms (high BP, fatigue/weakness, restless leg while trying falling asleep, muscle aches/cramp/spasm/numbness/tingles, heart arrhythmia/palpitations, chest pain, digestive issues, high blood sugar, crankypantsness etc, etc.). Not having enough magnesium could also cause the problems since it affects the blood potassium level, along with certain metal toxicity (barium, thallium, cesium, etc) interferes with potassium absorption.
Potassium citrate is a urinary alkalinizer with an added benefit of preventing kidney stones. Potassium is best taken in food forms (bananas, avocados, greens, beans, etc), but if you tend to overindulge in diuretics such as wine/beer/coffee, be sure to supplement with key minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, iodine, selenium, zinc, etc… On a related note, if you tend to abuse alcohol and/or insulin resistant, be sure to also look into the insidious and often undiagnosed Thiamine (B1) deficiency which greatly affects glucose metabolism and electrolytes exchange for your nerve and muscle cells.

I just lost what I was typing (Thanks Amazon!).
Summary I’ve been passing a 9mm by 6mm stone for 6 months.
Only had an hour or two of pain for a few days.
Many things may have helped:
1. Chance Piedra may have minimize pain when stone was moving.
2. Potasium and Magnesium Citrate may have help disolve chanels into the stone making it less painful and smaller.
3. Malic Acid (Ice Breakers Sours) may have also help dissolve the stone.
4. Walking 10k steps per day may have helped push stone down via step impulses,
5. Alpha Blocker (Tamsulosin 0.4mg/day) may have help dilate ureters to help movement.
Urologist said it wouldn’t pass, My Kaiser GP and Internal medicine doc were fine with trying this
natural approach. Chinese doc (Frank He Cares) stall recommended the Maltic acid. For this problem
I found it helpful to pick up a used Urology book on Amazon/Ebay; it’s good to be informed.

I trust NOW products. This one, of course, is a no brainer but I elected to get the NOW brand. One has to be cautious with potassium but if you are on a diet for IBS, there are a lot of vitamins/minerals that one will not get if they are limited as to what they can eat.

Dissolves Uric Acid Bladder Stones Effectively – This potassium citrate saved me from a very painful operation two years ago as I have problems with uric acid crystals (stones) developing in my bladder area. This is definitely worth a try before they stick something up your urethra, blast the stones and suction them out!!! Do a search on Uric Acid Calculi if you have been diagnosed with this problem. I passed a few grains out my urethra (male tube ?) and took the “stones” (grains) into a local hospital lab that confirmed the Uric Acid Stone composition. I praise God for my Naturopathic Doctor I have that ordered the lab test. I used to have blood in my urine after walking and the crystals were abrading my bladder walls. The bleeding, discomfort and pain stopped after taking potassium citrate. ??. Saved me s lot of muuuulllah (bucks). Highly recommended for this purpose.
My wife had some labs done that showed low potassium and her naturopathic doctor prescribed potassium citrate to elevate the potassium levels, and that worked for her.

I got these to help keep me from getting the “keto flu”. I started taking them the same day I started the new way of eating nine days ago. I take 8 a day to prevent muscle cramps. They seem to be working, just wish I would have gotten a higher mg per capsule so I didn’t have to take so many per day.

After tracking my vitamin and mineral levels, I realized I was really low on Potassium. Since I was having some joint pain and cramping, I did some research and found that Magnesium and Potassium would help. I was already taking additional Magnesium, so I decided to add Potassium. I started with one pill and am now up to two (one in the a.m. and one in the p.m.). I’ve noticed that my joint pain isn’t as bad and my cramping is gone. I’m still low on potassium (according to my tracker), but for now, I think I’m going to stay with the two pills and try and boost my potassium rich foods (avocados, etc). I would highly recommend NOW Potassium Citrate. NOW is a great brand!

Well, I finally figured out what was causing my muscle and joint pain and extreme fatigue. I was deficient in potassium because of my diuretic blood pressure pill. I take two of these in the morning and two in the afternoon. Do not take them at night. You will be up because you have energy! I was in agony with my arthritic knees before I took these. Now my muscles are relaxed enough not to be pulling on my tendons and joints. This is a miracle for me.
GEORGE PAUL MCKARY –
It is very easy to swallow and has the maximum over the counter dose. it was approved by my doctor and thankfully it is comparably priced to other over the counter products.

Thought I was having a heart attack – went to the emergency room, only to find that I was low in potassium, and not by the doc’s standards (it was ‘somewhat’ low, but not concerning) NOT CONCERNING? I was in the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack – that’s concerning!!! My natural-path nutritionist suggested Potassium – guess what? NO MORE heart attack-like symptoms!!!

Constipation.
Arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythms)

I would get insane charley horses if I stretched my legs so I wasn’t getting enough potassium. So I figured I’d get a supplement but they are all only 2% daily value (including this one) but that’s because too much potassium is very bad for you.
I take 2 of these around noon and 2 around 10pm and within a couple of days the charlie horses were gone as in 100% gone.
I knew it was definitely the potassium because I went to visit my sister and didn’t bring my potassium. I was gone for just shy of 2 weeks. About 4 days into the visit I woke up and stretched my legs and immediately I got a charlie horse.
When I got home I started back on my routine and in 2-3 days i was doing good and by day 4-5 it was back to no leg issues.
I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m missing so much potassium in my diet but i don’t see any issue there. So I’ll just keep taking a supplement because I really hate charlie horses.

NOW is a brand I frequently go to when searching for a new supplement. This is a good Potassium Citrate and the price is very competitive. Just remember if you use high dosages of Potassium citrate it can act as a buffer against your stomach acid and cause digestion issues. I have no complaints and will keep buying NOW potassium citrate

My potassium was low, because I’m on Chemo..but Now Potassium..helped me to raise my levels, without any stomach upset…

I have been cramping at night even though I take magnesium. I like the quality of Now. These are helping with nightly leg cramps.

One or two of these in the morning with some yogurt or cheese. I prefer to empty the capsule out into the yogurt along with other supplements for better absorption. They say that the fats in yogurt and cheese help make it reach your body more.
Along with other supplements, this dose of potassium helps give me functioning health while dealing with heart issues. I recommend this along with Qunol’s CoQ10 Ubiquinol to deal with cardiovascular issues.

Started taking potassium when doing keto. Helped SO much with keto flu. Keto lasted a few months, but the potassium continues. It seems to make my body happier.

My husband takes this as a supplement and it works good at keeping gout settled down. He takes a magnesium one too plus a gout maintenance pill but he stopped that when he started taking these as it was keeping it under control.

Everyone needs additional potassium, even plants! Take 1 capsule twice a day. Helps heart, lowers blood pressure, helps reduce muscle cramping from workouts.
Belinda Hawkins –
U need 4700 mg of potassium a day
This is but a drop in a ocean this supplement but at least u r working on it

I am taking these supplements as a part of an Adrenal Fatigue treatment. I started feeling the difference in my sleep and my energy since the first day I took them. I also made some changes in my diet, so I guess this is just part of integral healing. I recommend it.
AVOCADO –
I started getting lower leg cramps and knots in the calves a couple of years ago. A sibling who has the same issue told me about potassium for this issue. I take one capsule a day and haven’t had those issues since.
R. Butler –
I was getting charley horses a couple of times a week, usually at the worst time (waking up in the morning and stretching then having to stop and convulse in pain). Since I started taking these, that’s now only occurring rarely, maybe once every three months.
