Ingredients
Organic Matcha Tea Powder
Tea is the second most consumed drink globally behind water. Matcha premium green tea is well respected for its healing and sedative compounds.
A relative newcomer to the West, Matcha has been highly prized in Asia for centuries as a traditional beverage and a tonic to create a Zen-like “relaxed alertness.” Modern science is discovering myriad health benefits from this shade-grown green tea powder. It is rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatories and in plant compounds that may activate alpha waves to improve concentration and cognition.
Matcha is a potent source of antioxidants with 137 times more than regularly brewed green tea and far more than highly-touted alternatives like pomegranates and blueberries. Its power-packed polyphenols show promise in preventing oxidative stress.
Matcha has a storied reputation as a stress reliever. One of its key components, a glutamate named L-theanine, has a lot to do with that. Glutamates are important neurotransmitters proven to induce concentration, focus and a state of calm awareness.
Japanese researchers found that polyphenols in Matcha may help prevent the oxidation of LDL cholesterol; a big deal since that oxidation is a known risk factor for heart disease. Matcha may also lower arterial lipid levels. We’ll drink (tea) to that!
In 2012, Nutrition Research concluded; “daily supplementation with 379 mg of green tea favorably influences blood pressure, insulin resistance, inflammation and oxidative stress, and lipid profile in patients with obesity-related hypertension.
The You's –
This is some grade A matcha powder.
packaging: first, you get a lot! this is the same size as most protein powder canisters! it has a nice wide opening so I can get measuring cups into the jar for easy measuring. the actual container is white and the green you see on the product photos is a plastic film shrinked over both the lid and canister so it is easy to see if tampered with. there is no adhesive on “label” so the jar can be recycled or repurposed easily.
Flavor: this is great matcha earthiness clean without iron/dirt infiltrating the tea.
color: don’t be fooled by the dullness of the powder the bright green color will bloom over time. ( so if you are looking for that authentic bright geen matcha color – i recommend blooming the matcha in advance for the color to develop, I have used it in multiple recipes and the color just always looks better the 2nd – 3rd day.

I will definitely be buying this matcha again. There’s so much in this container, and for price it’s awesome. It’s not as flavorful as other matchas I’ve had, but I only make lattes which I add sugar to anyways. It froths very nicely and become so creamy. Love it!

Its good but its soooo clumpy. The flavor i like but i feel like its not that fresh because its almost like a gray green. I dont really notice an energy boost either which i was disappointed about. I have to blend the powder with milk tho otherwise the powder doesnt break up in my drink.

This is great matcha powder! The cost for the size and quality is such a great value. So far I’ve been adding a scoop into my daily green smoothie and have made dairy-free matcha milk with it. The powder is very finely ground, so it would also be great to use in baking! I think I’ll try making a matcha cheesecake with this next. Overall will definitely purchase again in the future! I’ve also been looking into the other products KOS offers and I’m interested to keep trying other powders in their line.

The power has dim green color and it does not taste well, however this product still has a good price.

Oh my goodness. You get a lot of powder! It’s so yummy!
Not only does Matcha not give you that crash like coffee does but it’s healthier for you too!
My recipe: 2 cups of Almond Milk, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 scoops of Matcha Powder, IceCubes and BLEND TOGETHER!

I used this powder to make a matcha latte, and it was awesome. As being as healthy as it is, I didn’t expect the great flavor that came out of it. Not overwhelming at all, but strong enough to make the drink very tasty. The bottle is pretty big for the amount that I paid for.
