The True Strength of Whey
Whey Protein Isolates (WPIs) are the purest form of whey protein that currently exists. WPIs are costly to use, but rate among the best proteins that money can buy. That’s why they’re the first ingredient you read on the Gold Standard 100% Whey label. By using WPI as the primary ingredient along with premium ultra-filtered whey protein concentrate (WPC), we’re able to pack 24 grams of muscle-building protein into every serving. ON’s attention to detail also extends to mixability. This superior quality powder has been instantized to mix easily using a shaker cup or just a glass and spoon. There’s no doubt that this is the standard by which all other whey proteins are measured.
Beyond the Basics
- Nearly 79% Protein by Weight (24 g of Protein per 30.4 g Serving Size)
- Whey Protein Isolates (WPI) Main Ingredient
- Whey Protein Microfractions from Whey Protein Isolate and Ultra-Filtered Whey Protein Concentrate
- Over 4 Grams of Glutamine & Glutamic Acid in Each Serving
- More than 5 Grams of the Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine in Each Serving
- The “Gold Standard” for Protein Quality
Suggested Use
Consume enough protein to meet your daily protein requirements through a combination of high protein foods and protein supplements. For the best results, consume your daily protein allotment over several small meals spread evenly throughout the day.
Spoon Stirred: Gold Standard 100% Whey is instantized. That means if you forgot your shaker cup or don’t have time to get out the blender, just add one rounded scoop of Gold Standard 100% Whey to a glass filled with 6-8 oz of water or your favorite beverage. Then mix it up with a spoon. Stir for about 30 seconds or until powder is completely dissolved. Tip: Adjust the taste of your Gold Standard 100% Whey by varying the amount of liquid that you use to prepare it. For a bolder flavor with slightly more body and sweetness, mix each scoop with 4-6 oz of water, milk, or your favorite beverage. For a milder tasting, less sweet shake, use 8-10 oz of liquid per scoop.
Shaker Cup:Â Bringing a shaker cup with you to the gym is the best way to get a dose of protein immediately after your workout. Just pour in 6-8 oz of your preferred beverage and then add one rounded scoop of Gold Standard 100% Whey to your shaker cup. Cover and shake for 25-30 seconds.
Blender: Add one rounded scoop of Gold Standard 100% Whey to a blender filled with 6-8 oz of water or your favorite beverage. Blend for 20-30 seconds. Then add 1 or 2 ice cubes and blend for an additional 30 seconds. Shake Up Your Shake: By adding fresh, or frozen fruits, peanut butter, flaxseed oil, coconut and other ingredients, you can make an even more delicious shake. Stack Your Shake: You can make Gold Standard 100% Whey an even better post workout product by adding supplements like Creatine, Glutamine, BCAA, and concentrated carbohydrate powders.
Think Outside The Glass:Â Gold Standard 100% Whey can be used for more than just protein shakes. Try mixing a scoop into oatmeal, yogurt, or the milk that you pour over your morning breakfast cereal. Better yet, increase the protein content of muffins, cookies, brownies, etc. by adding a scoop or two to your baked goods recipes.

Bought this and the double chocolate one specifically because they did NOT have sucralose on the ingredients list, but when I got it, sure enough the vanilla ice cream does indeed have Sucralose! So this is more an AMAZON picture error!
That aside:
Taste was good, very sweet, but blended up with water well, I then added frozen strawberries and that cut the sweetness perfectly.
As per the instructions I did mix in room temp water first then added ice & the frozen berries to make a smoothie & again it was very good. So the powder as a whole is fine (only been using it for one day so we will see how it plays out for the next few weeks) but I wouldnt have ordered it if the label had been correct on the site. Luckily I got the small bag!!
That being said, I believe next time I will try the Natural Flavor that Optimum offers since they use natural sugar instead of synthetic stuff which is what we’re trying to get away from as much as possible!

Been using this powder for a few weeks now. The results have been great. I’ve seen more improvement, less down time, and more efficient workouts.
Originally I accidentally ordered the wrong flavor, Vanilla Ice Cream, and it is very sweet. This flavor is sweetend with Sucralose and Ace-K.
I wanted a flavor with much less sweetness and less added sweetener so I ordered the Double Rich Chocolate I originally intended to order. The flavor is awesome. You get a shake that tastes like an unsweetened Nesquik with all of the chocolate flavor.

I’m not a fan of flavored protein powder, almost as a rule. I prefer throwing matcha or fruit into the blender myself. I hate fake sugar, it usually upsets my stomach and makes me regret my life’s choices.
This brand’s double chocolate flavor is one of the only I can enjoy. And believe me, I have tried a lot of different brands. Not only is it pretty tasty, it’s ridiculously easy to blend. If I’m doing a heavy lifting session and need protein afterwards, I don’t even have to wait to get home. I can just throw a scoop of this at the bottom of an empty water bottle, add water at the gym after my workout, and shake it to mix. I’m sure a blender ball would probably work better, but this stuff is so easy to mix that vigorous shaking does the trick for all but a few specks at the bottom.
Protein powder should be easy; why bother with accessories unless you’re planning on actually cooking real food? I like this because it indulges my laziness, tastes pretty good, and doesn’t make my whole digestive tract try to explosively exit my body lest I be stupid enough to have it on an empty stomach.
That’s really all I ask for.

Truthfully, I have no idea if this is good for you. Read the other reviews. I flunked college biology twice. However, I cannot believe how great this tastes. Also it is great for lunch as it really fills me up and it’s super easy to make. Because I work out of my home, I can take a half of a banana, cup of skim milk, cup of crushed ice and 30 seconds in the blender and it is incredible. It also seems the chocolate gives me a caffein boost to push through the day.

Purchased the small bag to test it out, as some of the other reviews had me concerned. Some were complaining that the formula changed, and that the new taste was bad. Others were saying that it is their favorite because of how incredible the flavor is (with others saying it was far too sweet).
First of all, I will say that I like the taste. To describe one serving would be like when you were a kid and you didn’t put enough Nesquik powder your the milk. The flavor is clearly chocolatey, but it isn’t overpowering. As an adult, I really love this taste, and despite using Combat Vanilla for years, there is something about this that I occasionally craved. Because I have protein shakes predominantly in the mornings, I’m not looking for something too sweet. This gives me the feeling that I’m having a light chocolate milk without feeling like I overindulged. Though to call it “double rich” is certainly an overstatement!
