I rarely write reviews, but this has been a true game changer for me. This is my second pregnancy- the first time around I was only sleeping a few hours a night due to restless legs syndrome and probably heightened anxiety as well. This time has been SO much better – I can actually sleep! I am so happy my midwife recommended this to me! It also helps quite a bit with pregnancy-related constipation. Wish I had known about this with my first child.

I had been experiences major aches and pains in my hands and elbows as well as my lower back and shoulders. I was so bound that my massage therapist recommended that I stop working out for fear that I would injure myself. Further more I was experience major water retention and bloating and I’ve always had a history of anxiety and some depression. I did some extensive research and found that this was recommended for all of my symptoms. The first night I noticed immediately that it completely relaxed and calmed me. Even though I slept terrible the first night I persisted in taking it and I am so glad that I did!!! I swear by this stuff and to sit at work every day and work out without pain or stiffness is amazing! Also, if I ever start to feel anxious or nervous I just drink a small amount and it instantly calms me. What a life changer! I want everyone I know to try this stuff!!!

By far the BEST supplement out there! I have taken magnesium for years and I was introduced to this stuff by an old chiropractor. I have digestive issues due to an autoimmune illness and this supplement has helped to keep me regular. I feel less stressed now that I have been taking this regularly for over one month. I definitely will reorder this product when I run out. If you are feeling lots of anxiety and stress, I highly recommend this! Most Americans do not get enough magnesium and magnesium deficiency can cause a LOT of problems! My anxiety is a lot less and my muscles aren’t nearly as sore as before.

A half a teaspoon of Calm in a 16 oz water bottle and a couple of drops of King Floyd’s digestive bitters daily and I have a happy running body. I drink it up a little now and then with in a 24 hour day. I just make-up another bottle when I run out. I’m off to boil a cup of water now to dissolve the Calm, then add cool water to pour into my glass bottle, plus several drops of orange bitters for digestion.

Seems to work great for constipation issues when nothing else helps. which is why I bought it. Probably should have followed the directions for measurements. Jumped right to 2 tsps the second day after 1/2 tsp did not have much effect. Definitely recommended starting slow like the directions say and gradually increasing. I am concerned about the long term effects of using this product though. I dont want to get to the point where I am dependent on it.

I had no idea magnesium would improve my arthritis and bowels. I assumed every 4-5 days was normal for me. How happy I am now with a daily… I am not one to remember taking vitamins or supplements but this is one I take every night without fail for the amazing benefits. Why don’t doctors tell us magnesium could improve overall well being including Sleep? I like it best with as little water as possible (3-4 oz) and drink as a warm tea before bedtime.

Wow, I was a bit skeptical about some of the reviews and thought “this drink seriously can’t be THAT amazing”, but it truly is. My primary Dr recommended to me because of what patients have said to her about their experiences. Both my husband and I take Calm now. I’ve been having panic attacks more often and didn’t want to take a rx, if possible. With in 10 mins of drinking Calm, I can feel my chest tightness lessen, my breathing slow down and my thoughts stop racing. I also take it before bed at times and find that I have a much restful sleep and feel rested in the mornings. I’ve been telling friends and family all about the product, to the point where I’ve been told I should work for the company as much as I promote it. Bonus, I love the flavor.

Read reviews said oh yea sure, really, we’ll see if it works? I’d been taken a chelated magnesium but was tired of so many vitamins pills. Initially bought for stress/anxiety for my college student raspberry flavor decided to give it a try. I work for the airlines and people in my profession often have difficulty going the bathroom with irregular schedules. The last 2 weeks of using this product I have had normal easy bowl movements without straining. If you’ve ever been to a specialist in this field they will describe what is considered normal. What a relief that NOW my body can finally rid itself of toxins without negative side effects. It took me a bit of time to get use to the slight taste of magnesium grit but now I just love it because its worth the results. I add a little bit in my water several times a day and a bit more at bedtime.

Magnesium is a miracle mineral. And vital to your good health. From restful sleep, to no more leg cramps, to a more stable blood pressure and no more constipation, the results of its daily use, -every morning before breakfast- are nothing short of a wonder. And there are very compelling facts behind it:
As per my GE, Magnesium CITRATE is the ONLY type of Magnesium that the body can FULLY assimilate, which is the type in THIS product specifically.
Magnesium’s importance has not been promoted enough within the medical community, and its importance as EQUALLY important as Calcium:
A Magnesium reserve is hold by your heart in one of its chambers. Calcium contracts, Magnesium relaxes: Systole and Diastole.
Do your research: From Constipation to energy metabolism, DNA replication, protein synthesis and detoxification, all rely on Magnesium. Muscle pain and tightness, weight gain -magnesium control the enzymes that controls digestion and absorption-, to unexplained fatigue, depression and anxiety, all are Magnesium deficiencies symptoms.
With the highest amount of magnesium in your body concentrated in your heart, its deficiency may be behind your high or low blood pressure.
According to NHS, Magnesium helps to turn the food we eat into energy, the production of hormones for bone health in the parathyroid glands, heart health and blood sugar control.
Again as per NHS, It is estimated that 80% of Americans are Magnesium deficient.
And back to my GE doctor’s : Only Magnesium Citrate is fully absorbed by the body. And very easy to know if you take too much: For a short time…Diarrhea. This product is great… The taste is pleasant, it dissolves quickly in warm water and you can easily learn the amount you need to take just based on the dosage that produces a perfect bowel movement.

I’ve been consistently taking Natural Calm magnesium for 8 months now and just reordered more. I read the book The Magnesium Miracle when I first started taking it so I would understand exactly how the body uses magnesium: used in over 600 enzymatic reactions, and is needed for cellular ATP energy, to repair DNA, etc. I noticed a difference within 2 days of taking it. I started sleeping really well through the night and I also noticed I was able to remember my dreams when I woke up. I like to mix mine in water and add a little bit of lemonade. Even if you don’t feel any changes after a few days/weeks other people may notice a change in your behavior/mood. It does make you feel more calm during the day (though one friend said it made her feel sleepy during the day).

Good product. I’ve used this before and it seems to work but you have to be consistent with taking it. If I miss a day – even on the weekends, my co-workers drive me insane until it gets fully back into my system.

I was bed ridden with migraines, multiple autoimmune disorders and chronic pain. I started taking this consistently and I was out of bed in a week and on the road to healing. A chiropractor introduced this to me and helped me through a full detox. I am glad to report everything is in full remission and no migraines in 5 YEARS!!! No joke. I have everyone I know taking this. I should be a sales rep. If you’re ready for healing start here.

I am very familiar with all the various types of magnesium out there b/c i take a blend as it is. I had pretty much dismissed citrate as one of the more junk types. I was wrong, this one has a purpose for some out there. It does say carbonate..but if you read the ingredients, citric acid is among them. When you combine these 2 with water, it becomes magnesium citrate via a chemical reaction that binds the two molecules together in a highly absorbable form. I did research that after seeing carbonate, b/c I was confused by that too. I am suspecting that i have low stomach acid or just absorption issues at this point. And after a month of consistently taking this? it has been the single most helpful thing for oxalate build up. (for me) This has been a long running issue with me b/c I do consume a lot of oxalate rich things and i do take calcuim with d3 to bind, the works. (yes, lots of water) But i could still over do it easily & sometimes it was hard to predict. I ensured that my diet rarely had things very high in oxalates (like spinach..even cooked, too much could still do it) .. I did some research and many things advised to try magnesium citrate & B6 as P5P bc this combo helps to inhibit oxalate stone formation to being with..(of course there is mention of ensuring your calcium levels are as they should be & d3 & k2 b/c they all bind. I don’t have low calcium. I take calcium as well with D3/K2 since my diet is rich with vegetables. I was already taking chelated mag glycinate, malate, & theonate at night b/c theonate crosses the blood brain barrier (as a sidenote, i do recommend mag l theonate for cognitive benefits) – But it was actually the citrate that managed to help immensely with oxalates. I would not have thought of that unless finding it via various medical journals. After about a month? I can eat as I wish & the oxalate build up pain i would get (if i accidentally crossed that line) is no more – it’s gone. I’m eating pretty freely at this point & this has even shocked me, might be the active b6 combo bc i take that too – Maybe I’m a person prone to oxalate build up or my stomach acid is low, so this one works better, i don’t know. But i was grateful to have found information that led me in this direction b/c it has helped this issue with me so much. And maybe this review will help another.

Okay so there’s a method to taking this. I thought the formula had changed and it wasn’t working properly. Once I checked the company’s website it gives better direction.
You have to mix this with warm water- that is what binds the ingredients together to become more absorbable magnesium citrate.
Warm water is the quicker way to get results. If you prefer to drink it cold, you need to mix it and wait 15 minutes before you drink it.
Hope this helps- I’ve noticed a bigger difference since mixing with warm water!

This stuff is great!! I am 20 weeks pregnant and my midwife recommended for constipation(it’s been so bad). She recommended I take it at night as it may cause drowsiness. I took it the evening I received it and the next morning had a BM! Started off with 1/2 teaspoon as it recommends and it worked great. No diarrhea or stomach upset. The taste is great and the container is bigger than I expected. I got it when it was on sale for around $23 and wow what an amazing value. I’m currently on medication for anxiety and panic but have noticed that this has helped with that little bit of anxiety I had lingering. My sleep seems to be the same but I wasn’t having trouble sleeping to begin with. Overall I would definitely recommend this product. For stress/anxiety or to have more regular bowel movements if you are constipated. I can’t say how it works for sleep because it didn’t make a difference for me. But it’s a great product with really fast results and it has helped so much with my constipation. I am so much less bloated and I feel a million times better since I started using this.

I have taken this for several years and yes it helped me calm about 50% (much better than 0%). But about the time I started taking this I got diarrhea. I never realized that Magnesium can cause diarrhea. But it can. It took a long time for me to realize this was what was causing diarrhea. Initially, I thought it was some of the strong things I ate. Like garlic, so I went though all things that can possibly cause diarrhea and stopped eating them. It’s kind of funny because when I was doing that I stopped taking the Calm. And Boom Chicka yeah diarrhea went away. But several months later I reordered this because of the virus and another Boom Chicka, diarrhea came back. So finally I searched online and yeah Magnesium can cause diarrhea.

I started taking this for migraine reduction, and I had no idea it would give me energy also. I drink a little glass in the afternoon instead of my (3rd ;)) cup of coffee, and find I don’t need caffeine to get me through the remainder of my work day.
My friends say it tastes great. But I am super picky about taste. So I mix it into lemonade instead of water, and then it tastes just like lemonade 🙂 (also tastes good mixed in to juice)

Magnesium comes in slightly different forms: citrate, carbonate, glycinate, etc. Each has a slightly different result. For example: certain forms can have a laxative effect so that you wouldn’t want that form if this was a problem for you. Other forms do not cause diarrhea. Some forms are more easily absorbed than others, etc. I ordered this product because its headline was MAGNESIUM CITRATE SUPPLEMENT which was the form that I wanted. When it arrived I noticed that it contained Magnesium carbonate, not what I wanted. I suspect that the differences in the products might not be substantial so I decided to keep my container of NATURAL VITALITY CALM instead of returning it. But I probably will not reorder this item. Thank you.

I typically do not write reviews, but as I read through the comments many people were downvoting this product due to an ingredient change. As the ingredients do list magnesium carbonate as the main ingredient. I think it is important to note that when magnesium carbonate is combined with citric acid and your liquid of choice it binds together to become magnesium carbonate, so therefore the ingredients are the same as before the bottle change, they are just now more scientifically correct. Wonderful product!

I had muscle cramps since I was a child. It took me many years before I realized it was due to a lack of magnesium. I was on my way to Santa Fe with girlfriends when my feet started cramping intensely. One of the ladies in the car said, “Pull into Whole Foods and we’ll get you some Calm!” We did along with some water and a paper cup. Presto magic!!! Within minutes — I mean minutes — my cramps STOPPED. Dang! I prefer the raspberry-lemon flavor. Years later, Calm still works well for me. Super grateful.

I first got my hands on this several years ago from Sprouts trying to find something to calm me down at work. I don’t know why I never thought to look for it on Amazon until now, but I’m glad I did and it’s cheaper than in store!
This stuff works so well and it works so quickly. I have a pretty stressful job and I drink this on my way to work and I’m good to go by the time I start my shift (around 10 min). I’ve never been diagnosed with anxiety or anything, but I do get anxious before large social events, etc, and this always helps me get back to my norm. I haven’t used it for sleeping purposes, but I’m sure it would work well for that too.

I started getting really bad leg, or more specifically calf, cramps throughout the night and day. This lasted for months!! People said, eat a banana or drink more water. Well guess what… that didn’t work!
Then a trainer friend said, “what you need is magnesium, and I recommend this brand called Calm”
Desperate to try anything and based on positive reviews I thought, sure why not. Well, guess what? IT WORKS!!!!
No more legs cramps at all, and it really does make you feel calm! Side note and added bonus, it keeps you pretty regular as well. So… get ready for that.
The flavor is better than I expected and easy to mix with cold water. Overall I can’t recommend this product enough. Part of my daily routine now!

I take this because it’s a healthy form of mag and I have anxiety issues. It tastes good and is almost my desert at night, a tinge of stevia taste but it’s fine. I don’t notice a difference with stress/anxiety, but I have never unless it’s prescription or good Cbd oil. I don’t have an issue with sleep so I can’t rate on that. It absorbs super fast in water and is very refreshing! And it’s a good deal for the amount of servings there are. Magnesium glycinate is the form of mag that is good for sleep, anxiety , and won’t over stimulate bowels like plain magnesium does (for my ibs friends). Over all I like it !

So heed all caution when using this product. My cousin swears by it though. “I sleep great, love the taste, it totally relaxes you!” While I slept great the first 3 nights I used it, I quickly decided this product was too strong for my gut. I only used 1/8-1/4 teaspoon each time (once in the evening) however….when I say I white knuckled my steering wheel to make it home….I mean I almost had to pull over and use the bathroom in the woods. So, moral of the story is: if you have a sensitive tummy, don’t use this. If you enjoy adrenaline filled car rides trying to guess if you’re going to make it to a restroom….this is just for you!

I have struggled with chronic migraines for a a year now. I usually have 4 a week. I tried going on magnesium tablets and they didn’t help much. I then found this stuff and ordered it. I’ve been taking it for a week and a half now. No migraines!! I’ve been migraine free for almost two weeks now. That’s a record for me. I will always have this in my cupboard from now on.

Me and my husband will be using this forever!! What a find!! This and Tumeric Tea will replace a multitude of prescription drugs that mess up your mind and heart. Better than wine. Very peaceful feeling. Thanks!!

Definitely helps with regularity and sleep quality during pregnancy. I swear by this to avoid constipation and get a good nights sleep. It says to start with 1 tsp per day and increase. I take 3 tsp right before bed, dissolved in about 1-2 oz of water (I don’t measure the water, just eyeball it). I usually have a bm first thing in the morning ( I know, TMI, but it’s healthy! ?)

After hearing multiple sources rave about magnesium and its benefits for sleep, I decided me and my intermittent insomnia would give it a try. This brand came as a free sample with a water filter I purchased, and though one trial wasn’t enough to convince me, the coupon that came with it encouraged me to keep going. I’m now a couple months in, I use it a few times a week. I’m still taking just over the minimum dose (the directions recommend a gradual ramp up). At first it would quickly make me noticably drowsy; now it seems to have a less strong effect so it might be time to up the dose a bit. But I often wake only once or not at all before morning, which is a definite improvement. I do sometimes feel a bit groggy with a very mild headache first thing in the morning, but that’s likely my own fault for not sleeping enough hours. This feeling goes away once I’m fully awake.
The flavor is pleasant, a bit like a weak lemonade. Maybe not something you’d choose with a meal, but certainly not medicinal.
I don’t know if I’ll progress to taking it in small doses throughout the day as recommended – it makes me sleepy enough sometimes that doesn’t seem like a good idea. If you plan to drive or anything else requiring alertness, definitely be cautious how you use it until you know how it will affect you.
Jared Quinonez –
If you suffer from stress / anxiety / panic attacks. I highly recommend this. Don’t wait, buy today. If it didn’t work the first time, try again and stick with it. That’s exactly what I did. Someone told me to try CALM when I had bad anxiety attacks. It did nothing. But I should have kept on it. Fast forward years later, I realized I might be magnesium deficient and that can cause stress / anxiety. Anyways, stick with it and you’ll see results. Love this stuff!
smeli18 –
This really helps to calm me when I am stressed or relieve tension if I feel a migraine coming on. Do not take too much though because it seems to have a mild laxative effect if you do. It’s also great for falling asleep, but I’ve noticed if I don’t go to bed right away after I have it, it has the opposite effect and gives me insomnia.
kamalakaruna –
I stopped my SSRIs several months ago and was having some serious anxiety and irritability and this stopped it immediately. I honestly think that a lot of my depression and anxiety have been caused by nutrient deficiencies. Taking this and a women’s multi-vitamin with B-6 & B-12 reversed all of my symptoms. No joke. This calms me down within an hour of taking it. Highly highly recommend!
Scarletthairedgirl –
I follow Dr. Ken Berry and his wife nurse Neisha, who recently recommended this product to help with sleep issues. Upon Neisha Salas-Berry R.N.’s recommendation I ordered. I also researched magnesium deficiency. The results of this research were VERY interesting. I waited til a Friday night to begin taking Calm, due to the possible “side effects”, LOL. Slowly with small doses I worked up to the recommended dosage. I immediately noticed I was able to sleep through the night without the 2AM wake-up where my mind would not go back to sleep. I was able to sleep til my alarm went off, I had not done this in 10years?! Several years ago my Dr put me on an anxiety/anti-depressant to help with sleep, which it did however she took me off after 6 months, therefore I was back to square one. This product for me, it’s almost a “miracle cure.” This definitely calms me down before bed time, and tastes pleasant. I have recently also found this item at my local Sam’s Club for the same price.
Health Seeker –
I don’t know whether it’s the raw material or the flavors or the stevia or the overall formulation, but Nat Calm consistently comes out as the best magnesium powder supplement on the market, of the ones I’ve tried. Usually take 1 tbsp before bed (480mg), as I’m a bigger guy (210 lbs). Have taken up to around 1000mg a day before in divided doses with good results.
Lindsey Lane –
I bought this after talking to my midwife about my struggles with anxiety. I bought this, hoping it would take at least that edgy feeling off. It does wonders! I take 1/2 teaspoon first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach and I have noticed a HUGE difference! A few weeks after I started taking this, I noticed that my cravings for chocolate were basically nonexistent. I looked up what causes chocolate cravings and apparently a magnesium deficiency can cause them! So, a small amount of this product has helped me in several ways! I was worried about the flavor, but it’s totally tolerable (unless you brush your teeth right before). The only con is the height of the container. Once I finish more of the powder, I’m going to have to figure another way to get it out (right now I just use a 1/2 teaspoon to scoop it out).
