Castor Oil is a natural emollient that penetrates the surface layers of the skin making it softer and more supple.
The effects of externally applied Castor Oil can be enhanced through the use of a “castor oil pack” – a piece of wool flannel saturated with the oil and applied to the body. Use of a pack allows the greatest penetration in a specific area of the body. The application of heat further increases this penetration, allowing the oil to better impart its qualities to the body.
Instructions for the preparation and application of castor oil packs are supplied with each package of Home Health White Wool Flannel.
Home Health creates truly effective personal care products based on traditional, natural ingredients. Our Castor Oil is the finest quality available. It is cold pressed and cold processed and contains no artificial ingredients. You can rely on Home Health to deliver the natural health products your family deserves.

Cleanse the skin with mild soap and water. Apply as required, twice per day. As a Castor Oil Pack for concentrated application, saturate wool flannel and apply over desired area. Dry heat may be applied.

Going to re-up. I mix this with my Vaseline and I’ve never seen results like this.
I added a star. I had to. Once I started using this I found so many uses. I’m a big guy, I work out and shower twice a day most days. I can’t use lotion because my skin is so dry, an application lasts maybe 5 hours. Add winter and it gets worse. I’m also diabetic (for now) and I’ve always been ashy.
I add this to my Vaseline and just go ham. Lol… It gotta deeper than just the surface and softens skin over and over. I would usually put on Vaseline in the morning after a shower and by the time I get home from work, my legs look like I’ve been rolling in concrete rocks. Lol… Scratched up and ashy. I honestly forgot how I used to reapply multiple times a day and how embarrassed I was when 8 had company. I’d reapply, hang out and in the morning I was all dusty again. Not anymore!
Bonus- I buy Oyin Handmade natural deodorant. The product is amazing and works better than any chemical deodorant I’ve ever used. Unfortunately the deodorant paste dries out because of the baking powder (I think) within a couple weeks. I hate running out so I buy 5 deodorants at a time. I used to add coconut oil and mix the paste up every couple of weeks and have to do it again and again. I started using the castor oil instead and it’s a night and day difference. The coconut oil gets used up and the paste gets hard. Not with this. I’ll actually use a month’s worth – two applications a day – and never have to mix it up biweekly anymore.
For my lips and hands–no more cracking in the winter. For $15- yeah, I’m sold. I have half a bottle left and I am getting another one because – why not? $30 a year for great skin, stretching my natural deodorant’s efficacy and human heels? Take my money! Lol… Five hundred stars IMHO. Mom definitely knows best!

My carribean Mom suggested I mix this with my Vaseline because I get extra ashy. I am diabetic and didn’t think it would work. Luckily, the bottle came sealed, not like the horror stories in the comments.
One application lasts days. I’m a big dude and I like to shower twice a day at least. Which is unbelievable. I do the after shower oil and then put socks on and my concrete looking heels look almost human now. Lol… This bottle will last a couple years realistically. It’s an old bush remedy that my mom used growing up. Listen to your Mom. She knows things!! ?

I was recommended castor oil for my hair as well as making packs with it. I’ve used it many times on my hair, I fill the sink up with hot water, let the bottle sit in it for a few minutes to make it less viscous and then I’ll coat my scalp with it. I pop a shower cap on and then a winter cap and go to sleep. In the morning I shampoo and condition as usual, when my hair dries it’s noticeably softer and shinier. I’m hoping with enough time it will stimulate growth, I take biotin and silica as well.

I’ll try anything when it comes to natural remedies. Castor oil supposedly helps with almost everything from self care, beauty regimen, parasites, and even weight-loss?!! SIGN ME UP! I have gone through the inter-webs in order to find what I could do with this product, and I quite a few “remedies” of which I will share my experiences
CASTOR OIL PACK: My doctor man told me I had a liver issue (no, I don’t smoke). Anyhow, I was talking with my friend about this issue and she told me that in addition to the milk thistle I was prescribed, a castor oil pack would help move things along. This was the reason I bought the castor oil in the first place. My friend is a super crunchy holistic student and said this brand was the one she trusted. After reading all the benefits of the castor oil pack, I was really excited to start it (probably because it was a good excuse to lay down and rest for 45 minutes without children crawling all over me). I really don’t know how my liver is doing, but the oil pack was wonderful and relaxing. I slept SO good that night!
EYE LASHES: I put these on my eye lashes for a week. Each night, I’d rub it into my weak lashes and sleep. The only downside to this is that in the morning my eyesight was a little blurry with the leftover goop. It wasn’t really that bad, only when I would fumble around in the dark trying to change the baby’s diaper. It just made the experience more extreme. I rarely wear makeup, and when I do it’s only mascara on Sundays. I didn’t think much of my lashes in the mornings until after a week on Sunday I was curling my lashes and YES, I noticed they were longer!! SAY WHAAA?? It was awesome!!
*UPDATE ON THE EYE LASHES* (March 2020)
I am cheap, super cheap. It’s not funny. Anyhow, I knew there had to be a better way to do my lashes, so I emptied out an old mascara container that I never use, cleaned it good, and poured some castor oil into it. WOO!!! SO HAPPY! Now every morning I apply castor oil and go on my way. It has helped my lashes appear longer and darker without mascara so I no longer use mascara at all. I heard that little microscopic bugs live on the eye lashes but the castor oil chokes them out so they can’t live there anymore, thus your lashes grow longer. I don’t know if that’s entirely true, but I’m really liking my results.
HAIR CARE: Castor oil is touted as being a hair rejuvenating miracle. I wash my hair once a week on Saturday nights. I figured why not throw some castor oil on my scalp before I shower… it felt really strange at first when I shampooed my hair, it was almost straw-like with the greasy feel. After conditioning my hair and letting it air dry, I kid you not, it actually felt silkier. I couldn’t stop touching this mane of mine, I felt like a beautiful unicorn hair model.
CLEANSE: Ok, so most Castor Oils will say not to ingest (for legal reasons), but as long as it is hexane-free, you’re probably safe (BUT DO NOT USE WHEN PREGNANT!!!). There are a ton of people that use castor oil for cleanses (candida and whatnot), and so for the sake of science, I figured I’d give it a try. First of all, EW. IT. IS. GROSS. I tried a tablespoon of it one morning. OH HOW NASTY! And nothing happened. I just felt ill all morning. The next day, I decided (for the sake of science) to up the ante and hit two tablespoons of that nasty. This time, I used a medicine syringe and aimed for the back of my throat. It was still bad, but much better. Within the hour I had lost three pounds of whatever was sitting in my digestive tract; within the week of doing this every morning, I lost about six lbs. Was it worth it? I’m not sure, the trips to the bathroom were pretty violent and the castor oil tastes horrendous! I probably will not be doing that again unless I pick up a parasite somewhere.
BABY BELLY: My baby was a little constipated, and I learned that rubbing castor oil on baby bellies helps them “go.” I did this, I don’t think it helped.
FEET: my feet get super dry at night so I figured I’d try the castor oil on them. Right before tucking myself into bed I rubbed the oil all over my feet and then put socks on. Normally I can’t sleep with socks on, but this was different. After nursing my baby around 3 am, I took off the socks and my feet felt great. They were no longer oily so I could get back in bed without the socks, it was fantastic
I know there are a ton of more things to use castor oil for, and I am excited to try out some more natural remedies. This brand is great, I am more than pleased with it!

I have used this product as a hair mask and noticed a dramatic difference in shine and lightness. My scalp feels healthier too! I mix half castor oil and half sweet almond oil (to make it easier to apply). I warm up the mixture in some hot water and massage into my scalp then to the ends of my fried blonde hair. I have been putting it on my eye brows and lash line as well and I have noticed my eye brows have been coming in thicker in only a month of use. Also tip for my oily skinned friends out there – I have severely oily skin and read online that castor oil mixed with rosemary oil can help with acne and other skin conditions. So I’ve been putting these oils onto the problem areas of my skin and WOW! My skin is so much less oily!! It seems weird that putting oil onto oily areas would make it better but it balances my skin’s pH and makes my pores much smaller. Try this out by putting a little onto your face at night and wake up to a fresh oil free face!

This product is a really great value. A tiny little bottle of “organic, cold-pressed pure castor oil” at Target or health food stores can be like $20. This bottle is HUGE (I bought the 32oz bottle for $16) and costs less than that, while being the same thing, except for the organic part. I use it in a homemade oil cleanser and apply it straight to my eyebrows and eyelashes (with a teensy brush) to stimulate healthy hair growth. It’ll be a long time before this bottle runs out, but when it does I will definitely purchase again!

Got this to put over sprains. It is very thick and tacky on skin with a light smell. I would apply a thick layer then wrap in serán overnight
I also used it mixed with olive and peanut oil to add a drop to hand lotion over the winter and my hands had never been in such good condition. It was like my summer hands with no dry spots or flaking
It is sept 2020 and I still have a nearly full bottle 3 years later. The price was good for the quantity

Thick and a little smell as expected!!!! We want it to be thick and smells and it’s all about it. I’m tired of uneducated people complaining about the smell……for God sake that indicates it’s’ “organic.” Great for skin, hair, pain, inflammation, etc. Read some books about it. Also buy a couple of wool
fennel…

I bought the castor oil to make herbal products. It is a good quality oil and I am very impressed how rich it is and how well it goes on as a moisturizer. You are not putting harmful ingredients or preservatives on your skin with this oil. It does not irritate or harm the skin. I have use it for acne on the face. I have use this product for wound healing and to make presses for inflammation. I have mix with other carrier oils and it works very nicely together. I have dry and damaged hair and have been using this oil on my hair for a few months now and can really notice a difference. It keeps my hair soft and hydrated. I would highly recommend this oil to any one for it has many purposes.

I bought this oil because I have a keloid scar that I’ve tried everything to flatten/fade. Apparently castor oil can help with these scars as I have read online so I was really hoping this would work. Unfortunately I didn’t really commit to putting it on so I can’t rule it out for keloids but in the short time that I used it I didn’t see changes in the appearance of my scar.

I’ve been using this at least once a week for my scalp and hair, and on the days after I’ve used a curling iron to my hair/ends as well. Over the months, I’ve noticed that my hair has become significantly shinier, less frizzy, less dry, and overall healthy. I have Asian hair, which is straight, thin, and gets oily after a day of not showering, but I’ve noticed that after using the castor oil, my hair is thicker and I have a lot more baby hairs, which seems to me that I’m growing more hair. This bottle will definitely last me at least another year or two and I’ll for sure be buying another one soon after.

Great product. Very heavy and moisturizing. I originally bought this to help my eyebrows and lashes to grow, but I don’t recommend putting it near the eyes since oil can easily seep in and give that uncomfortable blurry feeling you get when you get something oily or goopy in the eye. Putting on eyebrows is ok and is far enough away from the eyes. I unfortunately did not notice a change in increased eyebrow or eyelash growth while using this product.
