Remove excess oil and product build up with Desert Essence Organics Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo. Contains lemon tea tree oil and lemon peel extract to loosen and dissolve excess oil. Contains organic maca root extract known to strengthen and protect hair. With regular use, hair is soft, smooth and more manageable. May lighten color-treated hair.
Suggested Use
After wetting hair, massage a small amount in to create a lather. Rinse well. Repeat as necessary. Avoid eye area.

Desert Essence Organics makes some nice products. I like this shampoo a lot better than many other organic ones I have tried. For one thing, my scalp doesn’t start itching right away and that’s a major plus. I like to go for a few days between hair washings. This shampoo keeps my scalp nice and clean.
There’s not much of a scent, which is was I was after. Perfumey things drive me crazy.
As I wrote in the headline: a litte goes a long way and this shampoo works great, even in cold water.
My hair (naturally curly, long) likes it and I like it.

I have oily hair that is flat 1 day after washing but since I’ve started using this shampoo, I can go 3-4 days before it starts looking flat! I use the conditioner once a week also and that helps too.

I have always loved lemon scented shampoos, oils, and body sprays. They aren’t always easy to find. A friend recommended this shampoo and conditioner and I have used it ever since. While the shampoo cleans the hair well, the conditioner hydrates it well. While traveling I have at times had to use a different shampoo. My hair always looks its best after using these products.

I kept having the problem of oily hair and I saw this on a blog to try.. and this actually has made my hair be able to go every other day without being washed. I think it dries you hair out just a little, but not in a damaging way. If you don’t have extremely oily hair it may be nice to use once a week and use another shampoo between. Thats what my husband does and he loves it. He also said he likes how the bottle won’t let you put a huge amount in your hand. I think because the shampoo itself is really thick. Info on my hair: My hair hasn’t been dyed in a over a decade.

It didn’t help with my oily scalp. It left my hair not moisturized, it wasn’t super striped though. And the scent is so powerfully overwhelming. It’s like a lemon drop candy, but so strong. It’s just a whatever shampoo. Since it didn’t do what it claimed I gave it 3 stars because it’s not worth the price for being underperforming.

This shampoo has been a life saver! I made the mistake of using Head and Shoulders shampoo for way to long and developed an allergy to it that has been nearly impossible to heal from. I developed red bumps and a super itchy scalp from it. I tried everything from several natural shampoos, regular shampoo, olive oil, coconut oil, you name it to heal my head and nothing seemed to help and made things worse. I decided to give this tea tree shampoo a try and it has worked wonders in returning my head back to normal. I’m not quite there yet but this product has made a huge difference. It lasts a really long time because you really don’t need as much as with normal shampoo. I have shoulder length hair and use about quarter size amount. It suds up a little bit but not like normal shampoo. The only thing I don’t like is the hole where the shampoo comes out is super tiny so it takes a while to get it out. I suffered through it on my first 2 bottles and on the 3rd I expanded the hole so it comes out much easier. My hair is on the greasy side and with this it stays cleaner for longer and I can easily go every other day.

The only shampoo I can use. I am sensitive to many chemicals, and I also have very oily hair. It is hard to find shampoo for oily scalps, especially when you know you are sensitive to so many common ingredients. This shampoo smells awesome, like lemon heads, it lathers well and it completely cleans my oil slick scalp and cleared up my occasional dandruff. My scalp and hair feels soft and comfortable, instead of itchy and oily.
That said, this is for OILY hair, so I wouldn’t use unless you have some heavy duty oil or buildup, more than once a week. I use it daily, but I know it would dry out some people.

I need a product that helps with product that helps with oily hair, because for some reason my hair became oily all of a sudden. I know hair changes. You only need a little bit and it really helps. It doesn’t smell the best but it helps and works really well.?

I have super fine and oily hair and I could never find a shampoo that wouldn’t leave my hair feeling gunky afterwards. But this shampoo is the only one to not leave a dirty feeling!! And it seems like my hair is stronger and softer after using this! A little goes a long way too so two of these last almost two months and my hair is super long. And it smells incredible! My mother-in-law used some when she visited and she’s now hooked on it for how healthy it made her hair even just after a weekend! Definitely best shampoo ever!!
