I’ve ordered this twice now. Both Grape flavor. The first one I received was AMAZING, the taste was out of this world. Something I’d never experienced with supplements before. Close to a week after receiving that one, I put in another order because I didn’t want to risk running out. Once I finished the first container, I moved on to the 2nd. I get to the gym and give my bottle a big squeeze expecting the same great taste but instead, I was greeted with the taste of old candle wax. I’ll order it again and pray that the next one tastes like the first, and if it does I’ll change this to 5 stars.

I got the strawberry orange because I thought it’d be an interesting flavor combination, and it certainly was. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. It was in the middle. It tasted almost like an orange soda would. As far as being effective for recovery, I would say it’s helped cut down on soreness. I didn’t notice a difference in endurance, but I mostly just got this for recovery anyway. Whenever I grab this up again, I’ll try a more normal flavor.

I haven’t taken supplements in years, but started up a few months ago with this post workout recovery. I can’t specifically say that this product is the best one on the market, but will say I haven’t felt more energized and less tired after working out daily in years! I’m 45 and started a daily workout of weights and running with my 16 year old son and this recovery shake has helped my keep focused on the routine and less about the recovery. How do know this? I ran out last week and the harsh reality of recovery without this product hit me. I just ordered more! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! I’m staying with this product.

I’ve tried dozens of aminos and keep coming back to this brand. This brand by far dissolves the easiest, tastes the best and doesn’t dye my mouth disgusting colors.
While Im sure I’ve fallen victim to the placebo effect on some health products, I actually do feel like this one contributes to a faster workout recovery and immune protection. I drink this consistently throughout the winter and find that I’m more resistant to the sicknesses that go around the office.
Favorite flavors: Watermelon, blue raspberry and tropical
Least favorite: fruit punch (I’ve tried all the flavors and this one is the least appealing of the bunch… it has a very noticeable chemical aftertaste in my opinion)

I tried this product from a coworker as we both are fitness enthusiasts (at least we think we are lol). I took it after work to give me a boost I need to get through a 7.5 mile run. It really works. The best thing to me is it doesnt contain caffeine which makes it great for during and post work out. It helps you not feel so famished after. Would definitely recommend and order again.

I picked this up a couple of years ago for $16 and for that price it was totally worth it, now it’s priced at $25 and for that I personally wouldn’t purchase it. I use this product and Glutamine Powder after hiking in the mountains and the next day my old body isn’t sore and hurting like it used to be. The green apple flavor is nice and works well with whatever kind of gatorade I have on me to mix it with, not sure if I’ve ever mixed it with H20. It does what I expect from it, but if it helps the soreness of hiking I imagine it would probably help after a long workout with weight.

I was looking for an energy boost for my workouts that didn’t involve a calorie-heavy shake. This fit the bill perfectly. I put this in my water bottle before I get started lifting, and it keeps my stamina/energy and a consistent level during my training. It doesn’t make me feel jittery, and it doesn’t “drop” me when it wears off. I’ve also been know to use it some mornings when I’m feeling sluggish, rather than drinking coffee. To me, it tastes like a tart lemonade. I’d give it a shot!

These BCAAs work better for me than Xtend, at the end of the can there are granules that dissolve in water rather slowly, but in general the pain has decreased despite the increased load

Ordered this product due to some intense exercise in order to help reduce soreness and muscle fatigue. I was very skeptical about recovery drink products prior to ordering and honestly expected nothing besides a placebo effect at best. However, both my boyfriend and I noticed consistent and remarkable differences in muscle fatigue and soreness after using this product. It’s not a magic pill that will make everything feel easy or have no soreness or fatigue, but it definitely makes things a lot better. Taste is kind of tart watermelon, similar to a jolly rancher as others have mentioned, but not quire. It has a tingle of carbonation to it and we did not have any issues with foam when we stir in the scoop.
I did have an adverse digestive reaction the first time I used it, but not since. We tried one other recovery product from another company and were not impressed by the chalky taste that made me gag. This product is far superior in taste!
My boyfriend, who is very rarely impressed or enthusiastic about products, is a big fan of this recovery drink!
Great taste. Effective.

Overall love this product. Green apple although drinkable isn’t recommended, dragon fruit is ok maybe little bland light flavor, watermelon is prob best flavor. They all seem to help with recovery. Use to run 10 miles and need 3-4 days to recover. With this 1st day I’m barley sore. 2nd day I’m ready to run again.

I use this for muscle repair after I run and exercise. It has Vitamin D in it which is necessary for absorbing other vitamins and nutrients. The fruit punch flavor tastes good and it dissolves in water really well. I like it with room temperature or cold water. It gets kind of fizzy too which makes it feel like a regular drink.

I have loved this brand for their clean ingredients and bought the passion fruit flavor consistently. Then I saw they sell in bigger sizes so I bought this flavor in the 70 serving bottle. Big mistake! This flavor has Red-40 which is a carcinogen! Don’t make the same mistake I did. Get the passion fruit flavor instead.

came packed in great condition! comes with a little Measure spoon. It is amazing works like a charm I don’t feel pain at all or way let then i usually do. And the taste is incredibly delicious. I ordered the pineapple flavored before and I definitely do not recommend it, it is like pineapple and milk. But this one taste way better, just dont add too much because it does get way too over sweeten. I recommend to add half of the proportion spoon Or less for a better taste.
tim thongone –
I use as a post workout as a recovery item. I also use shakes too. The taste is alright, it does not taste like anything familiar. I describe it as a artificial fruit flavor that is not overly sweet. It is a blend of stuff, so the label does not specifically have each aminos amount in the blend. One important one is Citrulline which has more research than the others that I have seen. I’ve used in while working out and hit a squat PR. So I might try more to drink it while lifting. I am not sure if it is that effective.

Haven’t tried a lot of different AA products. A couple. By far. THIS IS THE BEST ONE THAT I HAVE USED. IT COMPLETELY DISSOLVES.
Taste a little more bitter than others but got used to it by 4th portion.
There’s so many on the market.
Consider myself lucky having tried and being happy with this one.
I recommend.

I’ve been using this product for about 10 days. I definitely have seen an improvement in muscle soreness, especially after intense leg workouts. I mix this with my chocolate protein powder….the strawberry flavor mixes well but the dragonfruit is a bit tart. I’ve found adding a half of a frozen banana masks the tartness in a frozen blended shake. The value was great, I use 1/2 a scoop so it’ll last me a while.

First of all let me say this has a great taste. Whether you stir it with a spoon or shake it in a bottle it mixes very well with water and doesn’t have a chalky taste I find in other BCAA supplements. Can’t say I (or anyone) would notice an isolated benefit to taking this supplement when they take others at the same time so I can’t comment on the potency or effectiveness.
One thing I was concerned about was the addition of silicon dioxide (see picture attached to review). Every single glass it just sinks to the bottom and at first I thought it was sugar or some other sweetener so I drank the crystals to find they did not dissolve and was like drinking sand with the gritty texture. What is the purpose for adding this to your supplement? I’m not trying to claim silicon dioxide is unhealthy to consume but it’s definitely unpleasant.

If you are new back in the gym again or pushing your workout to the next level, this REALLY helps reduce your recovery time. less time being sore and more time that you can be back at it, giving it your all. Highly recommend watermelon flavor
The Jester –
It does have some trouble mixing together and will have granulated pieces at the bottom. Don’t try drinking that part as it literally feels like you’re crunching on sand, it’s hard to get out of your mouth as well. Besides that the flavor is just too strong, its not terrible but I just don’t like it. I wish there was a sampler pack to try these out and figure out what I want to go with before committing to this.

This is a incredible BCAA Supplement!
This is one of the more popular amazon Amino’s out there and for good reason.
Reason 1. High quality and a sufficient dose with the 10 g. Many others charge a similar price for 5 g and miss some of the key amino’s.
Reason 2. Mix is very easily and taste pretty darn good. We just stick with the classic red punch and I love it.
Reason 3. Noticeable improvements during extended cardio sessions. I actually drink this in one of my bottles when I’m doing long road bike or mountain bike days. I also use this as a intra work out during lifting sessions.
I’m in my late 30s but remain a fairly high-level athlete in a few sports and BC AAs have been a game changer for me in the last couple of years. So far this is the best tasting and easiest to use will be in high-quality that I’ve seen. I think this is the go to Branch chain supp on Amazon

I like BSN, and this is a great product I plan to continue using. The main reason for three stars is simply not specifying the exact amounts of ingredients contained. What is the BCAA ratio (which is of lesser importance but not even listed)? When adding sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda which works GREAT), there should be a clear dosage indicated. Source: best5supplements.com “Baking soda possible risks: Baking soda is a salt, so it can cause problems for people who are on a low-sodium diet. If you consume a lot of calcium and/or dairy, be aware that baking soda may increase risks for kidney stones”
Well it might be nice to know how much baking soda one is actually ingesting then… There are way too many top supplement companies not disclosing what dosages are in their product blends, and they need to actually list their amounts for safety reasons. What do they just know everything about the human body now? Apparently so, how is a doctor supposed to evaluate safety for their patients when they don’t even know what’s in a product? It’s laughable this product actually says consult with your doctor, even though they won’t tell you exactly what they put in it… Oh there’s some baking soda, eh? Interesting, might be nice to know the actual amount… I am just amazed that it’s legal for these companies to be selling random blends with any amount of ingredients and not even list the actual dosages, absolutely pathetic, shame on these companies and the lack of regulations due to not being evaluated by the FDA.

My headline says it all: When you would put one scoop with 8-10oz of water inside a blender bottle and shake it up, the cap will want to pop off. Kinda scary when you first experience it, so be prepared. Other than that, the flavor was pretty good. Kind of a weird after taste, but 10g of BCAA’s for that price? Can’t go wrong.

By far the best I’ve ever tasted for a supplement. It dissolves well and I drink it throughout the day. I have a hard time drinking water and need some flavor. I add a scoop of this to my 32 oz jug and drink it throughout my workouts. I also have a 64 oz jug I add a scoop and a half to and it’s plenty of flavor. Green Apple and watermelon taste similar to jolly rancher flavors. I’ve been drinking these bcaa’s for about 6 months and haven’t had any negative side effects. If anything I have more energy and recover much quicker after an intensive workout. I also combine this with NO Xplode by BSN for my pre-workout (I drink the bcaa during my workout) and it lasts an entire hour plus. Worth the money.

This product is perfect for me. I’m new to the supplement world but I’m getting back into running in my mid 30s now. I’m currently running 6 plus miles at a moderate pace and I’m increasing my miles almost weekly, shooting for a marathon. In the past I have experienced knee and muscle pains after a run that have almost put my running to an end. I have started eat healthier and have added this supplement after my runs and sometimes before I go to bed. I really feel like this gets me re-hydrated. It has salt and potassium along with BCAAs and most importantly no caffeine. I like caffeine but I don’t want this to be a pre-workout, plus caffeine is a diuretic and will do the opposite. Some have said this product it too sour and sweet. I have the watermelon flavor and it taste great. I think the problem people are having is because they don’t add enough water and possible drank it while it was bubbling. The easy fix is to do what I do. Add ice to a shaker cup with about 20oz or more of water and shake for 15 seconds, burp the shaker cup and wait a minute for it to settle. After it settles it’s good to go. This drink is something I truly look forward too after I run.

Let me start by saying the green apple flavor works best with juice and not water. This productused to be taken right after you left or run. This product works best in conjunction with elderberries. the presentation is beautiful red as my favorite color so I guess I will give him points for that. It mixes well with water or juice just make sure that is cold.

This product appeals to me for a number of reasons and I do like it. I love that it has no caffeine, it has a higher amount of aminos per serving compared to other brands, and it has a wide variety of flavors. It has certainly helped in my workouts without the extra unnatural jolt you get from the boosted pre-workouts. With all that said, I do really like this product.
I’ve only tried the Grape flavor so far, and while I like it at first, it tastes weird after about 30 minutes or so and it’s hard to get down without force. At least that’s what I experience every time I drink it. Maybe I just need to try another flavor?

It’s been a couple of years since I had Amino X but I always like it. I read some negative reviews about the flavor and was concerned that would be the case and it had been a while since I had it. Perhaps they fixed it or a different batch but for the price and what you are getting it seems like a very good deal. I keep it in the freezer so it does not get as much dust when open, also keeps water cold without having to add ice. They sell this at my gym (24 hour) for $27.99 I paid about $17 so great deal!

Aminox tastes delicious and helps woth soreness. I have tried both the green apple and watermelon and both taste really good. It has 10 grams of aminos and when I take it before bed time after a hard day or trainig and working I am alot less sore than if I don’t take it. 4 stars because it says it is 30 servings but i got quite a bit less at about 24. However, its very inexpensive so its not a huge concern but all buyers should be aware of this.

Does this product make a massive impact performance wise? It’s hard to tell, so I wouldn’t say its a miracle product. I still get fatigued during workouts and I still feel soreness after them, however it may be better than without this product at all. Also, I’ll admit I may not get full results because the direction says to drink two scoops a day, but to me that seems a little much so I only consume one. What can I say I’m stubborn. However, this powder itself is excellent quality. It never clumps, isn’t gritty, and taste delicious! It mixes super easy in plain cold water. I got the strawberry dragonfruit flavor and I look forward to drinking it. I wish protein powders could taste this amazing!!
SPQR –
BSN is my Go-To brand when it comes to sports nutrition/supplementation. Normally I give 5-stars on every product they produce, but this one gets 4 because this stuff goes everywhere! It’s as fine as a talcum powder and even if you’re using a funnel to get it into a water bottle for example, the plume of dust goes everywhere regardless of how careful you are. NOTE: The product is great and I can feel the difference in workout days between using/not-using, it’s just a little dusty in pre-mix. Taste as usual is awesome from BSN too!
A. Barbiero –
I got the smaller container of pineapple and loved how it reduced muscle pain and helped recover so I got the watermelon in the 70 servings size. For some reason the watermelon flavor foams up amazingly to the point where I need to let it sit for a few minutes before drinking. Didn’t see that with the other flavor. This does not affect the product and how much I love it as a source of BCAAs and this is one of the drinks with the largest source of muscle building aminos I have found. Love it

So, I’m a beachbody coach and had recently tried their recover for almost $70!!! It tastes great but ugh the cost! I decided to try this and can’t believe how well it works! I work out hard, and have yet to wake up sore!! For a fraction of the cost, I will continue purchasing this! Though I’m not particularly fond of the strawberry orange, but that’s just a matter of personal taste. I wanna try all the flavors!
