The first time I ordered this, it gave me a headache. An experienced juicer, I suspected it was rancid, but it didn’t smell like it was. Threw it out. Next package I got was fine with that familiar jolt — or as some might call it, a rush — that many of us get from quality green powders. I also tried Amazing Grass Organic Amazing Trio Greens Powder. With that, no headache, but I didn’t feel so good after taking it. Again, rancidity is suspected. In one month, three of their products that I ordered were probably stale.
My conclusion: This product (I have never had this problem with Amazing Grass Green Superfood) is an outstanding green powder — if it’s not rancid. I have since switched to a different brand of green powder.

Not really sure how to review this properly lol. It doesn’t taste good mixed with just water. This doesn’t bother me because… it’s freaking concentrated greens powder, why would it taste good on its own? I throw it in my fruit smoothies and I can barely taste it, but I still get the awesome benefits 🙂
Overall, will definitely buy again!

Yes, this product does not taste good by itself. It is best mixed in water with other powders [i add bee pollen and nutritional yeast for nourishment and noticeable energy boost]. For years i bought Barley Greens which had a nice licorice flavor until i found out it was sourced from China. The label of this product says it is from plants grown in Kansas but then says it is crafted with “highest quality plant-based ingredients curated from around the world”. That might be a reference to spirulina which is an algae and i doubt is grown in Kansas. Going to ask the mfr to confirm what country is the source. Even so i highly recommend this powdered green because it includes more than just wheat. The more variety the better.

I dont eat veggies and I hate hate hate Kale. But it is very good for your body so I use this powder in my morning protein shake and down it fast. I think of it like taking medicine. (I gave 5 stars for flavor because it tastes just like it’s supposed to, not because I like it ?) I did return a shipment once because during summer it arrived very very hot to the touch, possibly ruining the nutritional value. That’s on UPS though.

In an attempt to be a bit healthier, I’ve been concocting a kale drink to have with breakfast each morning using fresh organic kale. I have been disappointed every morning because no matter how long I blend the kale with the water I inevitably end up with chunks of not-blended kale at the bottom, which is gross to me. Plus there was the hassle of destemming the kale, washing the kale, salad-spinner-ing the kale, which to me isn’t worth the time it takes.
This powder is exactly what I needed. Just 1 teaspoon is equivalent to a couple of handfuls of kale, with none of the washing, spinning, or blending. I add a scoop of spirulina.
I know what you’re thinking: that must taste terrible, like some sort of Kale Algea. Well, you’re wrong. I add one scoop of GNC’s amino acids (BCAA powder) in any flavor I’d like, and the shake tastes like that. Today it is Gummy Worm.
